Day 9: Heading home
When we got up we called and requested a late checkout and then started packing. Samuel went down for a nap and once he woke up we headed to a restaurant-Evergreens-for lunch. Had a good lunch and then we took a walk around the property to get some photos and take it all in one last time.
After all that, it was time to get our shuttle to the airport. Our flight went well -not as good as going down-but I'll attribute that to the boys not wanting to leave either! Now I sit here at home with all my stuff unpacked and getting back in to my home routine. It feels good to be home and I'm so thankful for our trip to Disney. We will have memories for a lifetime and it was so great to have all of our family with us! Thanks for reading along with us and until the next Griswold Vacation, cheers!
Day 8: Departures and More parks
We met up with the Lovings at the MK. We had hot dogs on Main St and then took some pictures in front of the castle. We decided to go through some shops on Main St while we waited for the Zinks to arrive.
Next we headed to the Hall of Presidents and to Liberty Square so I could get a Disney Christmas ornament. We wanted to stay for the parade but thought it best get the boys back to the hotel for a short nap. The Lovings headed to the train so they could take a trip around the park one last time.
After naps, we headed to Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival. We met up with the Lovings and Zinks. The lines were terribly long and the service was extra slow. We thought it may have something to do with the fact that it was the first night of the Food and Wine Festival so maybe they didn't have all their "ducks in a row". Anyways, we lucked out when Jerod kept checking back with the Pub in the UK and we got a seat. Actually the Lovings were even luckier than us because they got a seat by the water and got to watch the fireworks during their meal!
The other thing we did at Epcot was stop through Italy. 7 years ago in Italy, Jerod proposed to me! So, it was fun going back to the little bench that he proposed at and to take some pictures with our kids now!
We ended our night and last day in the park with another character greeting. This was probably Isaac's favorite part of the trip so we figured we should do it again. So we met Mickey, Minnie, Stitch and Donald. He loved it and we got more pictures! By the end he was saying to me "give Mickey a big hug"...because that is what I'd say before he met each character "make sure you give them a big hug!"
The Lovings skipped the character greeting and went throught the Epcot ball a couple of times.
Day 8 was our last day in the parks. It was sad but we did feel like we got our fill of Disney so we were happy with our time! It's so hard to say goodbye to all that happiness!

Day 7: Aunt T's birthday, Chef Mickey's and Hollywood Studios
Well Day 7 was Aunt T's birthday so to celebrate we had a reservation at Chef Mickey's for lunch. The Engles and older Rife crew went to the Magic Kingdom to do the train ride around the place and a few last minute stops since it was there last day here.
Chef Mickey's was wonderful. It included the characters: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofey. Isaac was in love, as soon as he saw one, he'd want to meet the next. When the music started they would dance and swing towels over their heads. The kids loved it! The lunch buffet was also very good and even had a little kids buffet and a great dessert buffet!
After Chef Mickey's we headed over to Hollywood Studios again (minus naps for the Rife boys-ugh, but they did good considering!) We got on the Tower of Terror which is one of my favorite rides and Jerod also got to go on the Aerosmith Rocking Roller coaster. We then split from the Lovings so they could do the Toy Story mania ride with Trent again. We headed to the Muppets 3-D show and then to meet characters from Monster's, Inc. Only Mike was there and I was informed if we waited 20 minutes, Sully would be showing up. So, I told Jerod to head to the roller coaster again and me and the boys waited for Sully.
Mom Zink and T went through the "one man's dream" show. By then the Engles and older Rifes had got there so we took Isaac and Avery into the Little Mermaid show while the rest went to the Star Wars ride and the Back Lot tour. Avery got scared of the witch Ursula in the Little Mermaid so Jess had to exit quickly. We did some shopping, ate dinner and then watched the Fantasmic show. It was a great ending for the Engles and older Rifes! Isaac got a little scared so we left early with him and I think he was really tired! He fell asleep on the way home!
Meeting Donald at lunch
The birthday girl and fam during lunch

Meeting Sully! He was so excited but for some reason Isaac wouldn't stand up straight!
Still all hunched over!
So tired...it was a great day!

Day 6: Animal Kingdom revisited
We hadn't seen the safari so we thought that should be our first stop. Problem was the parade was going on so we couldn't get up to Africa in time to see it. Instead we headed over to Camp Mickey so that Isaac could meet all the characters. The Lovings headed to the Nemo show. Going to Camp Mickey greeting trail was the thing to do during the parade as there was no one back there since they were all watching the parade. So we stepped right up and met Donald, Goofey, Mickey and Minnie in no time. Isaac loved it and would have went through the lines again had we let him. Unfortunately all my pictures are on the camcorder of this so I can't post any!
After that we headed towards the Kali Rapids water ride where Jerod, Brian and Bryton all got soaked on this ride. The Lovings met up with us at the Lion King show which was absolutely fabulous. Everyone loved this show. After this we headed to grab some dinner at a BBQ place in Dinoland. I headed back to the hotel with Samuel and the rest of the crew stayed and went on the Dinosaur ride and Expedition Everest a couple of times. Gotta love the after hours as you can get on rides fast!

Meeting Mary Poppins (look at Samuel in this picture, he didn't know what to think of her!)
Give me some HAM Daddy!
Mary Poppins made fun of Cheryl's laugh...
The Mad Hatter (apparently he is in Alice and Wonderland?! I haven't seen this one so I need to catch up or someone should fill me in!) He was funny but a lot of the kids didn't know what to think of him!
See?! Avery wasn't too fond of him!
All the kids loving on Pooh!
